Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announces that it is in the process of studying the policy of registering internet domain names for individuals, as the TRA has already launched the first phase of internet domain names administration project which was confined to institutions.
The aim of this document is to consult the public on the TRA’s proposal for opening registration of domain names under the two top-levels (.om) and (.عمان) for individuals. TRA seeks to receive written comments from the public, government institutions, public authorities, local companies, service providers and any other interested parties. The consultation paper could be found at the TRA’s website: www.tra.gov.om or at the Domain Names Administration’s website www.registry.om.
Replies may be submitted to the Authority latest by 1st July 2013 along with the sender’s contact information by any of the following means:
